LA Colors: Color Craze NP414 Current

Here's my NOTD.

I had NP414 Current from LA Colors Color Craze Collection.  A little disappointed that it was so sheer with one coat that I can still see my nail line.  After a million coats LOL, it looks pretty.

I am the GREEN girl :)

I thought of showing my stash but I'll post it not by brand but by color LOL.  And yes, I am starting with my favorite color!  I cannot find the other 5 bottles, I am not too organized... but this is a pretty good sample :)

I did not include the green glitters... I just got the watermelon rind by China Glaze.  Most are local brands in my country.  My coin purse, nail file and brush are also green.  My computer is also green.  I am def the green girl.  You should see my room and my office and be sick of green! LOL

What is your favorite color? :)

More on Travelling

Found this really gorgeous bangles during my travel down South :)
Maybe an inspiration to our future mani? :)

Alotta of Catching Up To Do!

I have been busy these past weeks and have not posted for a while :( ... I have a lot on my drafts though that I wasn't able to finish them.. Urgh! Work, work work! But I have not forgotten to check out the posts of those pretty nail bloggers that I follow :)

I went to Davao (southern part of the Philippines, about 1.5 hour plane ride from Manila) last week.  I stayed there for 2 days which sucked because all I did was work and never really went out... On my first day there, I looked for lunch and some fab finds to give as gifts for friends.  I found a lot of native products and nail stickers which cost 50% lesser than those I bought from Manila.  So you already know what I happened.  I bought lots of pretty stickers!  I am so busy to paint flowers so stickers work too! :)

Here's my NOTD.  I used a bronzed gold polish as base and randomly stick orange and purple flowers on it.  On the background is a green weaved native purse that I also bought.  First photo was taken with a flash which showed gold!

White Flowers for a Gray Afternoon

Weather's a little weird today.  It was soooo hot almost all day and then earlier today (afternoon), the skies suddenly became gray and I thought it'll rain.  This inspired me to do a summer mani in gray base tee-hee!
Sorry again for the crappy pics.  I still haven't been able to replace my digital camera.  I have been using my phone for weeks now (sigh!)....

In the Mood for Blue and Green / Glitter Haul

Heyall!!! :) Greetings from super hoooooooooooooooooot Philippines!  It's still summer here and it's scorching hot.  Wanted to go to the beach again.

Anyway, I was able to visit my favorite craft store for glitters.  I bought those glitters in Php5 packs in different colors.  (Php45 = $1 USD) It was payday the other day and I bought new polishes too! :)  Here's what I brought home.  French manicure set, nail art stickers from Elianto, LA Colors art deco in red and black, LA Color metallic silver polish and Klik frosted galaxy which is another glitter polish.

And I was in the mood for some blue and green glitters.  I choose those in lighter shades for my nails.  Here's what I ended up with.

How's your weekend?  Happy Sunday! :)

Flowery Toes ***WARNING***

I am not very proud of my toes, they are not so delightful to see :S so put in a warning.  I don't think a lot of people also like seeing feet.  Anyway, I wanted to share my flowery toe nails.  I just finished it.. still wet lol

Glittery Purple

Sorry for the lame title, I don't know what to call it. :P  I did this a couple of days ago.  I used Faceshop's PP403 purple polish.  It was so sheer with two coats and on a different angle, it reflects somewhat a blue/darker purple color which is cool. :)
I can still see my nail line... which bothered me a little.. so I topped it with purple glitters.  Viola!  It added life to my boring mani... lol!  The picture didn't do that much justice on how glittery it was!  I like it.  It still reflected a bluish color on another angle.

Have you also seen my other post on purple mani?

How was your week so far?  I am enjoying mine.  I had some time off from work and didn't go to the office on Monday and Tuesday... I only have to endure Wed to Friday lol! :P

Fimo Flowers on Pink and Purple Nails

Hello there!  Happy Tuesday! :)

It's my first time to try fimo clays.  I got a few sticks earlier and was very excited to have a new mani.  I thought it was pretty easy, I didn't know that it'll be a little hard because those cutie flowers tend to roll up.. geeeesshhhh... Any advise?  I tried to hold it for a few seconds and had coats of glitter and clear top coats.  I think I also cut the fimo sticks a little thicker.  I need practice. :S

May Flowers: Another Spring Nails!

Hi everyone! I've been busy these past week -- 1st, with a presentation at work and 2nd, helping my friends with their nails.. whew! and have neglected my blog for a while... I haven't even swatch'ed my new polishes yet. :(

Well.. today's mani is kinda an experiment for a friend. I received a few compliments on my free hand spring themed nails and she wanted one for herself but a little differently. So I inverted the design (grass not on the tip), removed the clouds and made the flowers bigger.

I was so sleepy when I took these pictures last night, it came out crappy! So sorry! I tried to fix it but it came out blurry :( I didn't clean up the edges yet. Pinky finger and thumb had different designs. Ring finger, thumb and pinky were topped with glitters.  Click to enlarge pics.

Happy Monday!

Floral Moments

Hi everyone!  I was very busy these past few days getting ready for a presentation at work.  I have to dress up a li'l formal tomorrow so I had to take off my usual colorful nails.  I did a french tip in pink to go with my dress but it wasn't like me... I added more and stick pretty flowers on it :)

Happy Sunday!

Spring Waltz

Hey y'all! Had a great week so far? Mine's not that great.. because my nails are shorter now :( I had an accident at work and 2 nails cracked at the tips.  I had to cut all shorter.  My friends said that cutting them a li'l shorter will make me type faster LOL.  There is no truth in that.  I type just the same.  :)

I had white french tips yesterday that I had to change becauseeeeeee... I had an idea for a nail do!!! :)) Niki did a wonderful job on her "spring in the air".  I love it and I wanna do it too... but I had to change it a bit (or maybe a lot).  I can't do the tiny fine lines for the grassy field and the bug :(  My hands are shaky and I don't use nail art pens.  I put in li'l flowers on a grassy bed under the same blue sky with rolling clouds.  Sounds poetic and good than it actually looks like. LOL  Hmmm... I don't know if you'll like it.  It's not perfect I know.  I made a lot of mistakes and was too lazy to start over?! I will appreciate your comments.

Thanks Niki for the inspiration :)  Here's what I came up with.

For the base, I used a sky blue polish from Elianto.  Grassy bed were 2 shades of green.  The clouds were brushed lightly using a satin white polish.  I also used pinks (light pink, reg pink, something like a coral) and yellow for the flowers using toothpicks.  Pretty messy after work scene below and yes, I work in front of my computer :P

Now, these were my nails after cutting it shorter and with white tips.  It actually looks ok to me... but I don't think I'll live without that much color.  LOL

Btw, I now have 11 followers.  Yeeehhhhaaawwwww!!!! Thanks ladies. :)

*** why "spring waltz"? ... that's the title of the korean drama that i am watching on my computer, with english subs of course! they have grassy fields on most scenes with yellow flowers. it looks romantic! hahaha

Tired and sleepy,
Jan

Papemelroti: Necklace Giveaway

***NOT RELATED TO NAILS***

Papemelroti -- stands for - Patsy, Peggy, Meldy, Robert, and Tina. Cute name isn't it?  They are children of a couple who started the specialty shop which carries a wide variety of gifts and decorative accessories. Very popular here in the Philippines and I grew up buying their kraft notepads which I really love. As a child, I looked forward on receiving Papelmelroti items as gifts from friends :) Now they carry a lot of items like accesories (love their bead products), vintage furnitures, wall decors and scrapbooking things!

An excerpt from the website --
Patsy, Peggy, Meldy, Robert and Tina continue to design products for papemelroti. They aim to design products that help encourage, uplift, and inspire as well as bring warmth and beauty to homes. Their products reflect values and themes which are important to their family - a commitment to and love of God, family, home, country and the environment. Through years of designing, manufacturing and retailing, papemelroti has become a popular name in the Philippines’ gift and decorative accessories industry.

I can still remember their famous tag line -- "Hands to Work. Hearts to God."

Whew!  That's a lot of introduction for me.  But you see, I really like their products.  Click their button on my side bar to go to their website.  Now for Mother's Day, they are giving away this lovely necklace.  Meldy designed it!  For info, click here.

All the pictures that I used are from Papemelroti's official website. This will end on May 13.
